hello + welcome to my site

I am a visual designer, artist, mom, and coffee lover, who creates in Narberth - a funky little ‘burb just outside Philadelphia. Originally from Long Island, I landed here after living and working in New York City and Boston.

I have a BFA in Communications Design from Syracuse University and an MFA in Book Arts + Printmaking from the University of the Arts. In 2021, I completed UX Certification in Interaction Design through the highly respected Neilson Norman Group.

Currently I design/art direct for the pr/marketing department at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. Previously I led the in-house design team at The Franklin Institute. I am available for freelance design work + illustration/art commissions.

on design

Communication and design go hand in hand. I believe in the creative process and Design Thinking that considers the end user/client/human. I strongly believe that collaboration creates success.

My 10+ years of experience includes full-time, in-house, contract, and freelance work with design firms and advertising agencies with extensive experience in both digital and print design projects. (View my resume here.)

on art + illustration

Fueled by a life-long passion for drawing, I create colorful, whimsical, & sophisticated designs that combine traditional analog techniques (drawing, painting, & printmaking) with modern digital approaches. (I’ve always loved computers and digital design, and even went to computer camp - shhh don’t tell!) I draw inspiration from nature, scandinavian design, NYC, and my funny kiddos.

I have a new illustrated Childrens book - Moving Words About a Flower - that was recently published in Spring 2022. My artwork has been licensed by companies such as OopsyDaisy.com, Studio-M, DENY designs, Sams Club, TJ Maxx, Ashley Furniture and Wayfair. I have also had a few pop-up shops at West Elm and had products inshore as part of West Elm Local.

on life

The days are long but the years are short. Embrace change. Hug your kids and your parents often. Gonzo is my favorite muppet. I’m a firm believer in the BUJO. Coffee beats tea. Always carry a notebook and pencil. Be nice.
